Swim: The swim is an out and back course in the Willamette River, beginning by the boat ramp in scenic Cathedral Park, below the St. Johns Bridge. Swimmers will be swimming up stream first, in an extended rectangle with the park on their right on the return.
Bike: The bike course climbs out of Cathedral Park and heads north towards Kelly Point. Olympic racers will complete two loops of the bike course, with the sprint competitors completing one loop. Participants should expect a fast ride over great pavement.
Run: The run course follows portions of the historic Portland marathon course. All runners will run an out and back over St. Johns Bridge. The race finishes back in Cathedral Park, where you and your family will find excellent food and Deschutes beer to complete a beautiful day.
Typically we have weather in the 60s to 70s, some years there is rain and some its' sunny. We do live in the great Pacific Northwest!
