The 13th Annual Oil Man Texas Triathlon is the premier Half Iron Distance triathlon in southeast Texas.

The 1.2 mile swim in Lake Conroe, the 56 mile bike in scenic Montgomery County, and the 13.1 mile run will take place from the renovated La Toretta Resort & Spa on Lake Conroe!

We don't feel that "convenience charges" are in any way convenient. At Athletepath, the price you see is the price you pay.

Event day registration

There is no race day registration or packet pick up.

Refunds

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds, transfers or deferrals.

USAT

A USA Triathlon (USAT) membership is required. You will be able to purchase a one day or one year membership during registration

Course

Swim:
1.2 mile open water lake swim in Lake Conroe. Wave starts, clock-wise rectangular course, swim cut-off time is 75 minutes.

Bike:
56 miles on a one loop counter clock-wise course, along farm to market roads with limited traffic on mostly National Forest terrain, with rolling hills. Bike cut off time is 12:30pm.

Run:
13.1 miles on asphalt and paved roads, mostly flat with some rolling hills. Course cut-off time is 8 hours. This is a THREE LOOP RUN COURSE!

Finish

Join us for our awesome post race party on the driving range! Post race massage, food, beverages, music and more!

Prizes

Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female and overall Master's Male and Female. Age group awards go 3 deep, utilizing USAT 5 year age group divisions. There will be Clydesdale (men over 220 lbs) and Athena (women over 165 lbs) divisions. Awards will go 3 deep in the relay categories and the aqua bike divisions. Everyone will receive a custom finisher medal!
