Jim Jack's Cowboy Up Freeride Challenge pays homage to a legend who help start the IFSA and dedicated his life to pushing the sport of Freeskiing; Mr Jim Jack.

The Cowboy Up gives young skiers & riders ages 12-18 the chance to have Cowboy Ridge all to themselves. Ripping through pow, between trees and off cliffs, this two-day competition includes qualifiers on Saturday and finals on Sunday. This event showcases the next generation of ripping groms.

This event is capped at 100 participants.

The event is open to male & female, ages categories 12-14 and 15-18, Ski & Snowboard.

Discounted event tickets available (1 day, two day and three day) for day before event and event days to participants, coaches and family members.

Lockers available in the Granite Peaks bathrooms, Pacific Crest Lodge and Tye Creek Lodges. Ski Check available for the day from Guest Relations.


Spectators will need to have a lift ticket to view the event and it can only be accessed via chairlift. The best viewing point will be at the bottom of the venue run out (accessible via Hogsback and to the right off Hagen Hill) at the bottom of Rock Garden and Lower Rock Garden. Look for the Stevens Pass blue tent, fencing and windflags!


Snow in the forecast! Conditions for the comp and upper mountain should be great. We should see some new Friday evening and some light snow Saturday. Keep updated on changing forecast from www.stevenspass.com as the event gets closer.
