Cranberry Trifest

Lakeville, MA
Ted Williams Camp
August 23 – 24, 2014

Cranberry Trifest offers a terrific weekend of racing including a sprint distance triathlon, a kids duathlon and an olympic distance triathlon that was been selected as the USAT Northeast Regional Club Championship on multiple occasions.

The sprint tri (0.5 mile swim/14 mile bike/3.1 mile run) and kids duathlon (0.5 mile run/0.8 mile bike/0.5 mile run) is Saturday, August 23, 2014. The olympic distance triathlon (0.8 mile swim/26.3 mile bike/6.2 mile run) is Sunday, August 24, 2014. All events take place at the Ted Williams Camp in Lakeville, MA.

Cranberry Trifest promises you safe and scenic races and a festive atmosphere with a DJ, valuable giveaways, post-race refreshments after each race and a venue that lets you sit back with friends and family as the 2014 multisport season nears a close.

Race the sprint and olympic and compete for the title of King or Queen of Cranberry Trifest. The King and Queen is determined based on the fastest times of the male and female athletes that compete in both races. Register for both and you'll save $ on the combined entry (Note: King and Queen contestants receive 1 race shirt).

If you've got kids its a great venue for bringing them... when they aren't cheering on Mom or Dad, they can enjoy the playground, toss a ball or frisbee around on the baseball fields, or practice their ollie at the skateboard park. Or better yet... they can do the kids duathlon! All proceeds from the Cranberry Trifest Kids' Duathlon are donated to charity (2014 charity to be announced).

Saturday, Aug 23

7:30 AM Sprint race start
11:30 AM Kids' Duathlon race start

Sunday, Aug 24

7:30 AM Olympic race start

The 0.9 mile olympic swim will be in Loon Pond and we expect the water temperatures to allow this to be a wet suit legal race, but there are no guarantees. The 26.2 mile bike course consists of rolling hills along a scenic course that takes you by cranberry bogs, water features and country roads. There will be one water bottle exchange on the bike course. The one loop 6.2 mile run has some rolling hills and is through local neighborhoods.

Kids Duathlon:
Racers will run a course within the grounds of the Ted Williams Camp and then transition to their trail capable bikes (fat tires, no road bikes) and ride a 0.8 mile cours. After returning to transition, they will run the 1k course again to finish under the same arch used by the adults.
